Hi, My name is

Angkit Khadka.

I build things for the world wide web.

I'm a Cloud Monitoring Engineer based in Toronto, Canada, focused on keeping scalable infrastructure reliable. My expertise spans AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, Terraform, monitoring, and automation—helping systems run efficiently at scale.

I enjoy creating things that live on the internet. I graduated in April 2025 with a Computer Programming diploma (see Education section for details). I spend most of my time learning new technologies on my dashboard.

Work Experience

Cloud Monitoring Engineer

Flexera•Remote, Toronto, Canada

Feb 2026 – Present

  • Proactively monitor customer and internal cloud environments across AWS, Azure, and GCP using Logz.io, Grafana, CloudWatch, and Sumo Logic, investigating and resolving application, infrastructure, and Kubernetes/container-level (EKS/ECS, Docker) incidents.
  • Root-caused a P1 incident involving a MySQL auto-increment INT overflow on db-java services and flagged a Java integer type mismatch before the proposed fix was deployed, preventing recurrence and earning public recognition from a Dev Manager.
  • Authored 10+ investigation runbooks for previously undocumented alert types (unregistered node detection, stateful in-error, signal timeout, orphaned Elastigroup instances) by partnering directly with Technical Support and R&D, reducing unnecessary escalations NOC-wide.
  • Designed and shipped HelpsForce, a self-initiated TypeScript browser extension streamlining daily Salesforce/Spotinst workflows, and built 160+ dynamic email templates, achieving 90% team-wide adoption and publishing to the Chrome and Firefox extension stores.

May 2025 – Aug 2025

  • Designed and deployed custom Datadog monitoring dashboards using Terraform and GitHub Actions, addressing critical alerting gaps and improving incident response visibility across production systems.
  • Implemented Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices with Terraform state management via AWS S3, enabling version-controlled monitoring configurations and automated deployment through CI/CD pipelines.
  • Developed Python automation scripts to extract custom metrics from OpsGenie, enhancing monitoring coverage and streamlining incident management workflows within the Atlassian ecosystem.
  • Collaborated with cross-functional SRE teams using Agile methodologies and Jira for sprint planning, proactively communicating technical challenges during daily standups while integrating CI/CD deployments via Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
